The Environment and Energy Spoke

Environmental and energy problems rob Africans of their future. Pollution, deforestation, and erosion are the consequences of current practices.

Integration of the various spokes allows significant energy needs to be met, utilizing existing bio-energy sources.

The renewable fuel sources from our agriculture spoke are available to supplement the growing demand for fuel. Energy stores set up as Energy Cooperatives through the Regional Empowerment Centers allow each participating home to have cooking gas instead of the environmentally detrimental charcoal and wood. Some homes can also have low-cost 12v power for light.
