Good governace and accountability provides the most fertile environment for sustainable development to occur. Democratic principles can only take root with good governance and the necessary accountability in place.

MEDICS' program is based on local participation, ownership, accountability, and direction. By establishing Regional Empowerment Centers in target area zones, people will feel empowered to transform their own lives and community. Local leadership identifies specific needs and priorities for meeting those needs.
