The Health Care Spoke

Health care issues include traditional diseases coupled with the newer scourge of HIV/AIDS. Improved health of the general population is an important factor in economic growth and prosperity.

HIV/AIDS is affecting every segment of society including the ranks of the most educted, largely because of certain cultural practices. This is hampering sustainable development.

MEDICS' concept of the health spoke is to provide the best information possible through the Regional Empowerment Centers and cooperate fully with world health organizations, governments, businesses, local health providers, and the faith-based community in bringing adequate resources to address each region's major health problems.

The Regional Empowerment Centers will also work with local communities in a compassionate and coherent plan to deal with the growing number of AIDS orphans.
